How thrilled am I to be lucky enough to announce my images have been selected for the AOP Awards 2021/22 book in not just one, but TWO categories.

The AoP Awards was always something I aspired to be selected for,  it would be years before having any success and a decent gap in between past successes and this little run, will I be lucky again next year…we shall see!

The selected images were for my Candy Huts series shot in Miami.  After shooting them previously I was kicking myself not shooting them in this style, given a second bite of the cherry it wasnt a mistake I was going to make again, lucky with the light and lucky again to be rewarded with this selection.

The second selection was my long term research project, The Inbetween Places being chosen for the the Project category.   Project was a category I always wanted to enter but never felt I had anything with sufficient depth, like all photographers I always have numerous projects formenting, stalling, moving on, failing but this was the first I felt truly communicated the issues I wanted to convey in the images in a long form exhibition sized project.
